About White Dexter Cattle

White Dexter cattle are a refined evolution of the original Dexter breed—combining heritage, functionality, and beauty. The upgrade began in 1999, when a registered White Park bull was bred to ten registered black Dexter cows. From that point on, each generation was bred back exclusively to registered, purebred Dexters, with close selection for color, confirmation, and traditional Dexter traits.

This meticulous process, recognized in breed science as a legitimate genetic upgrade, reaches full integrity after six generations. Today, most of our White Dexters are eight generations removed from the original cross, making them 31/32 Dexter by blood—and 100% in character. Every animal we raise can be traced through a verified White Dexter pedigree, preserving the authenticity and integrity of the breed.
